"Opening doors from the past to
build your dreams of the future"

--Outlaw Bobby James

Outlaw arenas does approximately 30,000ft of three and four ranch rail and occasionally two ranch rail a year on different facilities ranging from perimeter fence, pasture fence, cross fence, arena fence, roundpen, driveway approach, etc.  You name it, we can fence it.

Every arena should start with what we believe is its most important part, that is it's base, or foundation made up of crushed aggregate or a good native soil, but must be able to be compacted to a degree of hardness to allow for the water to run off at a fairly high rate of speed.  After we have achieved that, we are ready for a footing material.  A good footing is not to be taken lightly.  Of all the many different disciplines and all the many different things we're trying to accomplish by having the ultimate footing, the one thing here we are all trying to do is extend the life and performance of our animals.   Click the image for more pictures.

Each project depending on locality is unique in its soil condition because of vegetation, lack thereof,  rock, mineral, water, etc... We analyze the situation and make our determination.  If our job consists of a cut and fill, all the site area must be stripped of all organic material and then amended.  For arena area as an example, it may need a base of small aggregate compacted in before the addition of a good footing material.  The surrounding area's for example may need no more than conditioning and graded out.   Click on the image to see more pictures.

Every job has some degree of unforeseen problems as this one did.  Every year run off from the mountains in the back and bad engineering on the cities utilities let thousands of gallons of unchecked water run through these properties creating flooding and torrential damage.  Our first plan of action was to eliminate the water going through his proposed arena site, by a system of six inch drains and catch basins.  What was once an unusable acre of land has  now been turned into a 66 foot by 120 foot riding arena with room for a 60 foot round pen.    Click the image for more pictures of the site.
